Ingredients and spices to prepare Family Classic meatloaf:
- 1 1/2 pounds of lean beef
- 1 can 10 3/4 ounce thick tomato soup
- 1 6-ounce package of chicken
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme leaves
- 1/4 cup chili sauce
Directions for making the classic family meatloaf
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Combine meat, 1/2 cup soup, stuffing mix, egg, onion, and thyme.
- Gently press into an 8" x 4" baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake for 55 minutes.
- Heat the remaining soup and chili sauce in a small saucepan.
- Pour over the meatloaf before serving.
- Note: I didn't add the chili sauce, I just put the soup on the meatloaf before baking.
